Tony Sztypuljak, one of St Catherine’s congregation, whose father was Ukrainian, has been helping collect money for an orphanage in Romania, which he helped to build, which has been repurposed as a welcome centre for Ukrainian refugees. He writes this:

‘Prayers and financial support have brought visible joy, food, comfort and schooling with friends from Ukraine who are now in Romania – thank you

Our three Ventnor church congregations and  many other UK supporters are providing Ukrainian refugee families with both a comfortable home and, for others, a temporary respite/transit haven before they move on further west. This is all at Cry in the Dark’s ‘Casa Albert’ E Romanian facility.’
