Helping Ukrainian Refugees

Tony Sztypuljak, one of St Catherine’s congregation, whose father was Ukrainian, has been helping collect money for an orphanage in Romania, which he helped to build, which has been repurposed as a welcome centre for Ukrainian refugees. He writes this:
‘Prayers and financial support have brought visible joy, food, comfort and schooling with friends from Ukraine who are now in Romania – thank you
Our three Ventnor church congregations and many other UK supporters are providing Ukrainian refugee families with both a comfortable home and, for others, a temporary respite/transit haven before they move on further west. This is all at Cry in the Dark’s ‘Casa Albert’ E Romanian facility.’

Coffee Shop

St Catherine’s coffee shop is open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday between 10:30 and 12:30, offering hot drinks and homemade cakes in the side hall of the church. We are also serving drinks in takeaway cups to sit in the Church gardens.  For any further info,...
